Hi, I'm Tessa. I’m a qualified nutritionist and someone who lives with Hashimoto’s. When my symptoms were at their worst I felt overwhelmed by conflicting advice. Over time I developed a much simpler way of eating that supported my energy and helped me feel normal around food again.
I’ve created a method using my Nutritional Medicine qualifications and my experience of Hashimoto’s & Hypothyroidism to help other women find that same clarity & confidence.

This is not another restrictive diet. Instead, you’ll learn a practical framework for building balanced meals that support thyroid health while still enjoying food.
Transformation takes self commitment so you will need to set aside some time each week to go through the videos to really get the most out of it. If you give yourself an hour a week for a month and 15 minutes on the weekends to meal plan that should be ample. In terms of cooking, once you get used to the new way of looking at food & meals the average person will save a lot of time preparing food.

Food Freedom, Hashimoto's edition is a digital self paced online program. It is compromised of a Hashimoto's module with three videos and 12 additional steps. Each lesson has a video with an average length of 11 minutes. Most lessons also have downloadable PDF handouts that accompany the information in the videos.
The program is based on whole foods, there are no supplements or extreme eating or dieting practices making it suitable for all adults. If you are breastfeeding or pregnant then you may need to modify your meal timing and frequency. If you have a health condition which affects your ability to eat certain foods then you might want to discuss whether a Mediterranean style diet is suitable for you with your health practitioner. The Thriving Thyroid meal planning system is very flexible so you can omit foods you are unable to eat.

There are Modern Australian, Meditteranean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Scandinavian, French, Mexican, Indian & Thai inspired dishes that range from the time it takes to cook a piece of toast to a five hour chicken bone broth soup but the average is 26 minutes and 36 seconds - I counted. As a busy mum I have shared many recipes I make for myself and my family. All the recipes are gluten, dairy and soy free.

Actually no, most meals take 10-30 minutes to prepare & require simple & fresh ingredients. There are two or three speciality ingredients in some recipes such as collagen powder but I offer alternatives in the shopping guide and recipe notes. The beauty of the system is that you can make meals as complicated or as simple a you like. Most of my clients claim to spend less time cooking than usual & find this approach to food liberating & easy.
While the recipes and meal plans are omnivorous there is a vegetarian food list so you can use the thriving thyroid meal planning system to create vegetarian meal and weekly plans. I don't recommend the vegan diet for Hashimoto's however so this wouldn't be suitable for vegans.
