The Nutritionist behind The Thrive Method.

I’m a fellow Hashimoto’s Thriver but it wasn’t always that way. A few years ago Hashimoto’s was kicking me in the butt. 

Over the past few years I used myself as a test subject to research and trial the best methods for battling the symptoms of Hashimoto’s (like fatigue & weight gain) and address the driving forces behind my autoimmune disease and I accidentally got myself into remission along the way.

I’ve created a unique method using Metabolic Balance, my Nutritional Medicine qualifications and my experience of Hashimoto’s & Hypothyroidism to help other women.

Let's Do This Thing!

I’m time poor, will this become another thing to add to my plate?

Transformation takes self commitment so you will need to set aside 30-60minutes for the weekly accountability sessions as well as 1 hour per week to really get the most out of The Thrive Method. In other words, you need to be ready for change and willing to do what it takes. In terms of cooking, once you get used to the new way of looking at food & meals you’ll find that you save a lot of time preparing food for you & the family.

How is the program structured?

The first step is an initial consult 1:1 with me. While you are waiting for your treatment & food plan you’ll get started on the education series. They are found in your online portal and you can do them at your convenience. Once you have started your personalised plan we meet weekly for the accountability sessions. You keep learning via the videos & handouts in your own time. We wrap up the program with one last 1:1 session in week 16.

How do I know if this program is right/safe for me?

The program is not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have a serious health condition and you are worried about safety, book a health chat and I can let you know if it’s going to be suitable for you specifically. If you have liver disease, kidney insufficiency or major gastrointestinal issues or are under the care of a psychiatrist or on anti-psychotic medication I may require you to discuss the program with your GP/specialist before offering you a place.  

What makes your method different from other programs I’ve seen?

The Thrive Method is a unique blend of all the elements necessary for success. It is tailored to your needs by a qualified Nutritionist and includes 1:1 consults which many programs do not offer. This means that you are not getting a cookie cutter approach where you are herded into a large group and everyone follows the exact same plan. It also contains weekly accountability sessions with me and a community of like minded women going through the same issues as you. Lastly, it includes the education element. Most programs only offer the education and expect you to follow along without any help, accountability or the chance to customise a plan to address your specific needs. Because of this you get faster results & are more likely to succeed.

Can you guarantee I’ll lose weight?

No I can’t. Let me put it this way. Have I ever had a client fail to lose weight with their personalised food plan? No, I haven’t. On average my clients lose 10kg+ over 4 months. The extent of your success rests with you though. I provide you with everything you need to succeed but you have to do the work. 

Is The Thrive Method only for weight loss?

I also need to ensure it is safe for you and the right time for you to embark on a health journey. If I don’t feel The Thrive Method is a good fit for you I will recommend another practitioner or resource.

Do I have to take supplements?

I have more than 10-15kg to lose

No, of course not. And fingers crossed you may not need to. I try to let food do the work as much as possible. If in my health & pathology assessment I discover you have nutrient deficiencies that will impede your health I will a make my recommendations. When you have a chronic condition like Hashimoto’s you will often get faster & more effective results with some key nutrients and through targeting gut health with the G.E.M.M. protocol. But I will always discuss the options with you.

Four months is the right amount of time for 10-15kg but there is always the option to stay on from month to month as long as you need support & accountability.

Are the meals time consuming, expensive or complicated to prepare?

Actually no, most meals take 10 minutes to prepare & require simple & fresh ingredients. Most of my clients claim to spend less time cooking than usual & find the guidelines & meal approach liberating & easy.
